Adopt a Cattle Dog / Mixed

Cattle Dog / Mixed Dog

Lodi D3689 the Dog needs a home

Hi there! They call me Lodi!

Right now I'm busy finishing up rehab on my leg following a surgery. I was always a happy boy, but now that I can run around like normal again, I’m loving life more than ever. I’m a little shy when first meeting strangers, unless you have treats, in which case you're my new best friend. My favorite things are super close cuddles with people, walks, all kinds of chew toys, and trying to get my big foster brother to wrestle with me. And if you need any of those pesky squirrels chased out of your yard, I’m your guy. I get pretty excited for my walks, meal time, and a little play but I’m low energy the rest of the day.

I’m fully crate and potty trained. I know sit, down, stay, and shake, though I sometimes get too excited for those treats to keep them all straight. I will need someone to work with me on my leash manners; I have a pretty good pull for a little guy.

I have lots of doggy friends from my foster homes, but I do need to do a slow warm ups with the ones I haven’t met yet. Some doggy socialization training would be very good for me. I’d love to have doggy brother and sisters that like to play, but I do always want to be the center of attention, so I wouldn’t mind being your only dog either. I can be bouncy and overly affectionate at times, so I’m probably not best with small kids. I don’t think I’ve met any cats, but based on my fascination with the animals outside, I’m likely not a good fit with cats.
